Ecomondo is a leading Euro-Mediterranean area green and circular economy expo: an international event with an innovative format that brings together all sectors of the circular economy in a single platform: from the recovery of materials and energy to sustainable development. It aims to help companies become world leaders in innovation, promoting the development of an innovative and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Ecomondo offers a wide program of conferences, workshops and seminars aimed at presenting evidence and new trends, both national and international, related to the circular economy applied to the different supply chains: construction, packaging, electronics, automotive. It brings together a community of international scientists, researchers, economists, industrialists.
Ecomondo 2019 will give ample space to both the new regulatory priorities in the field of research and innovation and training in the professional environment; in partnership with industrial associations, ministries, research institutes, the European Commission, the OECD, European technological platforms and international initiatives.
On 8 November Philippe Mengal, Executive Director of BBI JU, will give a presentation on “The BBI JU overview of the status of policies and strategies to support the bio-based industrial sector” at a conference on "Biorefineries integrated in the local area: state of art and critical issues", which will focus on the strengths, priorities and critical issues of the bio-based industry sector, and one on "Integrated and multi-purpose biorefineries launched in EU by BBI JU" at a conference on "European research and innovation for the implementation of circular economy and bioeconomy".
