Over 25,000 representatives from 200 countries will converge on Madrid at the UN Climate Change Conference COP 25 (2 – 13 December 2019) to reach agreements and commitments between nations to fight against the effects of climate change.
BBI JU Project Officer Paloma Mallorquin will speak at the panel on "Transition of the business sector to a Circular Economy: role and opportunities" on December 11, during the Side Event COP 25 Madrid on the circular economy.
The conference, organized by Madri+d, Eurochile Business Foundation and the Enterprise Europe Network, seeks to give visibility to the contribution of the Circular Economy in mitigating Climate Change as well as promoting it to Chilean, Latin American and European SMEs, sharing experiences and good practices from Europe and Latin America.
The event is directed to large companies and SMEs, entrepreneurs and innovators, representatives of national and local public entities, trade associations, academia and civil society, It will host talks and panels as well as an international Brokerage Event organized by the Enterprise Europe Network to promote interactions between participants to encourage the development of national and international cooperation that can support the transition to a CE.
In this session, representatives of the business sector will discuss the implementation of the circular economy in different sectors of the economy. Companies will present success stories and innovative business models, technologies, value chains, etc. for a circular economy.
