The 13th European Bioplastics Conference will take place on 4-5 December 2018 in Berlin.
The conference is the leading business and discussion forum for the bioplastics sector in Europe and worldwide. As the major industry association in this field, the hosts at European Bioplastics are committed to representing the interests of stakeholders along the entire value chain. The diversity of the delegation – 330 participants in 2017 and expected to grow – reflects that, and the trend towards a pan-industry gathering is set to continue as the event embraces the inclusion of political and other non-private sector actors.
With more and more brands and manufacturers waking up to the potential of bioplastics, and with policy makers increasingly streamlining their efforts to install frameworks that benefit the growth of sustainable bio-industries, this is the time to put bioplastics high up on the agenda of a bio-based circular economy in Europe and beyond.
This year’s conference will focus on advanced innovations in bioplastics as well as on environmental aspects and opportunities for growth.
Every year the European Bioplastics Conference features a well-researched conference programme and impressive speaker line-up attracting more than 300 senior bioplastics decision makers from across the bioplastics value chain, policy bodies, NGOs, and brand owners.
- Unique conference programme: An impressive speaker line-up will demonstrate how far biopolymers have come and highlight some of the latest and most innovative developments in new bio-based materials, applications, processing and end-of-life options. Moreover, it will take a closer look at recent amendments in the policy frameworks for the European bioeconomy and circular economy and their implications on the bioplastics industry in Europe.
- Excellent networking opportunities: Social evenings, interactive conference format, exclusive networking areas and a digital partnering tool will connect you to stakeholders and leading bioplastics experts.
- Comprehensive product exhibition: Showcasing the latest products and services, the exhibition brings together decision makers of all sectors of the bioplastics value chain.
Philippe Mengal, Executive Director of BBI JU, will participate in the session on Bioplastics and the Bioeconomy on December 4 and give a presentation on "BBI JU: catalysing the growth of the EU bioplastics market".
