BBI Partnering Platform

The BBI partnering platform is an essential tool to identify and to cooperate with the European stakeholders around the annual BBI-calls for proposals. Registration is a free service provided by BBI.

BBI 2016 Open Info Day and brokerage event

BBI held its 2016 Open Info day and brokerage event on 21 April in Brussels. The day brought together potential applicants and provided information and networking opportunities in time for the 2016 Call for proposals. More information on the 2016 Call topics can be found here

Participants used the BBI Partnering Platform to send over 800 meeting requests, with 444 meetings scheduled during the afternoon’s managed networking and brokerage session. 270 participants were actively updating their profiles and looking for possible networking opportunities through the platform, with more than 170 participants pre-scheduling their meetings and some 50 participants used the partnering platform on site for the first time. This level of participant activity in using the partnering platform and the new BBI Partnering mobile app represents a two-fold increase in use since the BBI Info Day 2015.

Participants from organisations related to research & education had the highest level of activity, using the partnering platform to book around 38% of the total number of formal meetings taing place, followed closely by industry who booked just under a quarter of all the meetings regsitered in the system. The partnering tool was also popular amongst professional services organisations and tech transfer and innovation organisations who together booked a total close to 25% of the meetings on the day.

Mobile app

The BBI Partnering mobile app for iOS and Android was launched in time for the event and was downloaded and used by 70 users. It allows participants to access all the features of the BBI Partnering Platform, including the meeting request and scheduling functions, with ease while on the go. Both the Partnering Platform and the mobile app are available throughout the year to allow stakeholders to continue to develop their professional networks and to help potential participants to search for possible partners to collaborate with to answer BBI's Calls for proposals. The app is available from the Apple App store and Google Play online.
